Little Canada, a historic city just north of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, has several historical markers and locations of interest to visitors. We encourage you to learn more about our unique heritage by visiting these destinations.

City Entrance Signs
These historical entrance signs are posted at all major entrances into Little Canada.

Gervais Grist Mill Site
This marker overlooks the property where the first commercial grist mill was built in 1844.

Gervais Grist Mill Stones
The original stones from Benjamin Gervais' Grist Mill are on display in a case just outside the entrance to the Little Canada History Center.

Kettle River Road Signs
According to an 1859 Ramsey County map, Kettle River Road originally was an Indian trail that came south from the Kettle River area.

This building houses a small museum and an ample, predominantly French genealogy facility, based mostly on our early French settlers' family names.
