Volunteering Opportunities
We offer citizens the opportunity to become involved in shaping the culture and quality of life in our city by volunteering. There are a wide variety of options for Little Canadians to make a positive impact upon their neighbors and City. Citizens have done improvements to local parks (for example as an Eagle Scout Project). You can enhance your resume and your network in addition to the rewarding feeling of contributing to the community. Some local organizations that consistently utilize volunteers in the community are the:
- Canadian Days Committee
- Little Canada Fire Department
- Little Canada Historical Society
- Little Canada Recreation Association
City Council
The Little Canada City Council is currently seeking applicants to fill a vacancy for a City Council seat. Council Member Mike McGraw has announced that he will resign from his current City Council position on February 10, 2023. The term of the appointment to fill this vacancy will expire on December 31, 2024.
To be qualified to serve on the City Council, you must be a U.S. Citizen, be 21 years of age or older, be eligible to vote and have been a resident of the City of Little Canada for the past 30 days.
To be considered for appointment, you must complete and submit the application to City Hall no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 31, 2023. Please attach any supporting documentation you would like the Council to consider. The Council will meet with selected applicants in early February, and after discussion and review, the City Council may vote to appoint someone to fill the vacancy.

Commissions
Little Canada is not currently seeking applicants for the Parks & Recreation and Planning Commissions, but applications will be accepted on-going in case of a resignation. Additional information and an application form can be found in the links below.
